I'm Leanne Young and I am your Academic Liaison Librarian (Hospitality, Events, Aviation and Tourism).
I'm looking forward to meeting you in your classes in a few weeks to share with you how to make best use of the library resources.
Until then I wanted to share a few useful tips and links for your first few weeks:
Pop into the Libraries
Pop in and have a look around. Explore the study spaces and browse the shelves for your subjects - the print resources for everything except esports are at St. Peter's Library (esports is at Library@ David Goldman.)
Book a tour or introductory session about the Library
Visit the Library Essentials Guide where you will find some information on getting started and you can sign up for a short tour of the library or perhaps learn about how to use some of the technology (such as printing and Wi-Fi).
Ask us if you have a question
You can always ask library staff if you have a question - we're always happy to see you in person but we also have a 24/7 chat service for when you need it. Find out more about contacting the Library.
CABI who provide the Leisure Tourism database are migrating to a new CABI Digital Library. The Library will be updating all links via Library Search but if you use CABI to save alerts and searches you will need to take some action so that you can transfer them to the new system.
Last year we added a lot of new titles to our collections. In this post we are sharing some of the titles that will be relevant to aviation students:
- Brown, M. (2022) Strategic Airport Planning
-
-
Small, J. (2022) The Passenger Experience of Air Travel: A Critical Approach
-
-
Graham, A. et.al. (2020) Air Transport and Regional Development Case Studies
