General EAP courses are aimed at students whose first language is not English or have English as a second language and would like to develop their skill level on a range of different topics. These courses are in-sessional modules meaning that they run in term time.

As a general guide to skill level, if you have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, the Developing courses are likely to be the most appropriate for you. If your score is lower than 6.5, then the Introduction courses will be most appropriate. If you have a higher IELTS score and wish to start with the Introduction level, you will be able to move up to the Developing level in the next block of teaching.

Each course requires you to attend two hours per week, plus an additional 30 minutes is available for tutorials.

We are offering five-week courses designed to help you develop your English language and academic skills and support you in your main course of study.

Semester 1

Block A : 6 October 2025 - 6 November 2025

Block B: 24 November 2025 - 15 January 2026

Semester 2

Block C: 2 February 2026 - 5 March 2026

Block D: 20 April 2026 - 21 May 2026
